    XO,

Have you ever logged your time? What steals most of you day, week, month? Most time management books will tell you to figure that out first. I can tell you what works for me, but you may be better at the stuff that slows me down. Figure these out and then do some research on specific tools to assist.

Examples: Email. This ruins officer daily plans. Do you find your email ruling your day? If that is your #1 time killer, read a book that will help or convince you to run it instead of it running you. There are a lot of books, but I recommend one called “Control Your Day.” Free on Amazon prime.

Green Book eating your notes: Find yourself searching through your green book looking for stuff? Use a program to organize you thoughts, tasks and notes. Too computer tolls or apps to name but you have free ones at work. Use tasks in Outlook or a notebook in OneNote. Not sure how to do it, look on YouTube or get a free book on Skillport or Amazon Prime.

These are just two, but I hope you see where I was going. Most of the time, I felt and sometimes still feel overcome by events. Your method may result in you just being more organized but may also streamline the way you task and follow up. Remember you have a team of NCOs to help you. Good luck and keep pushing.
