    Team,

I am in command of Echo Maintenance Company in and ADA BN. We primarily provide field level maintenance to the BN, but we also have an organic SSA that services our BN and a few other units. The flavor Kool-Aid of the day in “expeditionary operations” and with this comes the need for our SSA to be mobile. We DO NOT have the organic transportation capabilities that SSAs in Alpha Distro units have like the PLS/LHS, but we are still going to try to meet the commander’s intent. We support a weapon system and customer that generally sits in one location for an entire rotation so this change is going to be very difficult.

With that, does anyone have any information regarding Forward Issue Turn-In Points (FITIPs)? What I need is some kind of CONOP or theory of operation on how to have an SSA mobile in the field away from its designated RIC and/or hard stand building. We will have a hard stand SSA while on rotation, but not if we are called to an austere environment under the Dynamic Force Employment Model.
