A few things, feel free to take all with a grain of salt.

1. I think its awesome you make your guys brief in OPORD. I am not a fan of CONOPS either.

2. In my opinion, I would consolidate all the Completed Training, slides 5-10 on to one. I don’t see the point in having one for each platoon all for only one week. That way you can compare the platoons, see if there are problems that the other sections training could have worked out. Also that way when your LT’s do not want to talk, you get it all out on one slide.

3. The Pre-Execution Checklists. I like that, definitely stealing it. Are these hidden when you brief? Like their only available to you and only when they aren’t complete do you have them up? If not, that would be my recommendation. You really only need that for you to track, your XO to brief/enforce and for the PLs to keep SA.

4. Last thing, the by-section calendar. I recommend less is more. Two, three words for what that section is doing and put the rest in the notes to have it briefed. For example, you talk about using the Maintenance SOP but then you say it again and cite pages in the calendar. Put it all up top if you feel you need it. I think that way you can have a larger font and it’ll be easier to read and see the week’s overall focus.
