I just saw this article on Army dot mil  about thew “new PT test”, the Army Combat Fitness Test (ACFT). According to the article, the test is set to be  the test of record in Oct 2020, potentially with MOS-specific standards (but the test will be gender- and age-neutral).

What do you think about this new test, the gender- and age-nuetral standards, and potentially different MOS standards?  What do you think about this test’s relation to your experiences of necessary fitness to execute the mission in your unit?
