I have an odd (maybe) question and anyone can weigh in. Bit of background  I am a 2nd (DOR SEPT 2016) Year CPT in a reserve Civil Affairs unit in TX. I’m currently double slotted in a BN S1 position. I had my first child Oct 2016. I had a long recovery and then had to have reconstructive foot surgery and was on profile again for and additional six months. So 25 weeks on profile straight. I Just came off profile  passed ht/wt but still could not take the PT test. I just found out we are expecting again. So another 16 months on profile and over a year no APFT.

Does anyone think this will negatively impact my career? I know we dont get boarded for O4 until year five. I had wanted to try to get into CCC early next FY at least DL portion before my next one and i really need to transfer because i have been at this unit in the S1 slot for nearly five years. I know i cannot transfer now since im pregnant but i don’t want to just chill and do nothing to advance my career. I have been dabbling into operations and assisting in the S3 shop some and we have another CPT that is taking the S1 reigns. What should i do to stay relevant to my command and ensure they know i value my career? any advice is great!
