    @x70037 – Jeff, I do agree with you! I’m game for talking about re-aligning with standards and a PT test that doesn’t reward slamming backs into the ground…but the primary “eyebrow raiser” for me is the execution across the Army, just as @brock.j.young was saying. I think this new test will slam ARNG & USAR components. Exactly as Brock said, when will they train for it? PT is always a tight schedule on a Drill weekend, let’s not even talk about the effort that goes into Annual Training. That’s nothing to speak of the resources (namely, dead lift equipment) that units may or may not have. In addition to that, I’ve come across alot of folks (all compos) whom I’m note sure would be able to pass the test, or (depending on future guidance since there’s no alt events) execute several segments of it. So what happens if there’s a spike in attrition due to a PT test? Is that something we’re willing to accept due to the stated higher results of fewer injuries and more longevity? Or is that a deal-breaker?

    I am trying to keep an open mind until the rest of the info comes out, but it’s certainly a challenge for me, personally.
