I am the company commander for a maintenance company in a Composite ADA BN. In preparation for a geographically dispersed deployment we are going to be giving the batteries the Field Maintenance Teams (FMT) that are assigned to my company. The exact command relationship has yet to be determined.

One of the biggest concerns that my company command team is having is the ability to properly train our company according to Objective-T standards. According to what we have seen for Objective-T, we are required to count the percentage of personnel  that are available for the training against the total number of personnel that are authorized by MTOE. On paper, this will severely limit the highest rating that my company will be able to achieve in preparation for deployment. The company will be trained up to standard, but our limiting factor for achieving the “T” assessment will be the fact that approximately 1/3 of our personnel will not be with the company for training.

Has anyone encountered a similar situation like this in the past? If so, what did you do to over come this?

Also, if anyone has had personnel utilized like this, what was the command relationship that you used and what was resolution/compromise did you find with regards to admin actions and basic training requirements?
