Master Outlook Calendar and Notebook.

Like brock.j.young mentioned,  I first obtain the master outlook calendar from the higher (battalion etc).  In a perfect world, the master outlook calendar is controlled by the S-3 shop and can adequately drive the battle rhythm for “higher events.” I ensure that my major company events are on that calendar to avoid conflicts.

After planning all the mandatory meetings and events, I outline the targets I want to accomplish throughout the week. These “targets” are aligned with my quarterly training plan, goals, etc. Lastly, I plan any personal goals or targets I want to ensure accomplish.

The most important part of organizing myself is reflecting on the week. Did I accomplish what I set out to do? Where did I fall short? What can I decrease or do away with to ensure I am working towards my company’s training calendar.
