Great post, Chad! There’s tons in here and I love the variety.  13 pages is for sure a lot of variety!! A few things that resonated with me, in no particular order:

    – “Be curious”. I think that’s a great way to inspire questions without relying on the trope far too often leaned on of ‘I’m just a LT/SGT/etc, what do I know?’. Everyone can be curious and it’s a great way to frame questions and look at the world that always builds up and out, doesn’t matter how much you know or think you know.

    – “I don’t know is never the answer” – I would say those exact words aren’t (usually) an appropriate answer, and it is certainly your job “to know”…BUT it is not your job to make things up. It is acceptable to (1) state you don’t have that answer (and make an intelligent estimate, if appropriate or possible), and then (2) follow-up with the question with the right or actionable answer to satisfy the question.

-The MEDO’s comments on the last page are spot on.

    – To summarize a common thread, get your formatting right, whether it’s Army MFR or unit powerpoint slides. Even if your slide/memo/etc is very basic but looks clean cut, that’s a great start. Likewise, having a brilliant idea that doesn’t look like it’s supposed to by your unit standard will likely cause the idea to get pushed aside.

Lots of great points here to reflect on!
