I’m currently still in OCS (week 9!) but I am thinking of the future after BOLC.  I currently work for a winery in California, and I was thinking of getting experience learning how to make wine in France either in the fall of 2019 or a future year.  I am curious as to how I should best accomplish while in the Reserve.  Harvest generally begins from the tail end of August to the end of November (depending on the winery and grape).  If I go overseas to intern with wineries abroad, how could I drill overseas?  Is it possible to arrange it with units in nearby European countries?  Or would I take a leave of absence for the days I would miss each month?  (I’ve heard it is called RST when I drilled with my unit before Basic).  What are your suggestions?  I suppose I could even fly back to California for drill, even though that would be a lengthy process just to make it to drill.  However I want to be in good standing.
