There are a lot of “important” reports, but the UFCR really is one of them.  You get a quick snapshot of what is happening across your unit.  If you read between the lines, you can tell A LOT about your unit.  For example, is one particular group not taking leave?  Did something funky happen with a Soldiers pay and they got a $0 pay due?  Is someone getting paid the wrong BAH, but doesn’t know it?  You can avoid a ton of problems by reading into your UFCR and asking thought provoking questions.  Your S1 can give you some answers and can help with resolving issues, but also ask your BN leadership (including the CSM).  If they are good they can help you understand what questions you should be asking yourself.
