One way my unit and myself have been able to to increase the financial literacy of ourselves and our Soldiers is by briefing the retirement system and TSP twice a year.  Since my civilian career is in the financial services industry I follow the presentations by giving my contact information to act as a free education service to our Soldiers.

One way I’ve seen active duty units do something similar is by finding reservists in the field, and having them do the brief so that they’re knowledgeable in both sides of that coin, and can be the best resource for that unit.
