Concepts are great. Cool stories are better. But junior officers are routinely lacking in the art of time and information management. I have these books on my desk and loan them out:

    1. Control Your Day: A New Approach to Email and Time Management Using Microsoft Outlook and the Concepts of Getting Things Done by Jim McCullen
    2. Getting Things Done: The Art of Stress-Free Productivity by David Allen
    3. The Bullet Journal Method by Ryder Carroll

#1 has had MAJs and CSMs shaking their head when they realize that email has controlled them and they do not know how to beat the grind of email. After reading CYD, they do. #2 is the idea and concepts of being productive. #3 gets junior leaders out of the habit of getting lost in the green notebook.
