While there are minimum requirements, there are no maximum requirements.  Instead of trying to become an enforcer of other’s time, I try to influence folks by explaining (and demonstrating) that the more effort given to cultivating the profession equates to better outcomes (i.e., the more you give … the better you become).

If we approach the topic just like a physically demanding road march, we can draw a parallel.  Those that focus on inward pain end up suffering; however, those that focus on the welfare of the team are liberated.
