Really good list! Instead of adding to, I will focus on a technique to manage the infinite number of systems in a company. After I took command, I realized our training meeting was too long. In addition to training, we were also reviewing typical command & staff (C&S) inputs: evaluations, awards, additional duties etc. The meeting was simply too long, inefficient, and taxing for the leaders. To alleviate, we decided to implement an XO/1SG meeting. We deliberately called it that versus a troop C&S in order to give ownership to the those leaders. Since the XO and 1SG manage and run the company, they led the meeting and I was simply a participant. We conducted the meeting on the last duty day of the week and it really allowed us to remain administratively proactive.  Additionally, taking the C&S out of the training meeting ensured our only focus in our training meeting was…training.
