Great tips Chad!  One thing that I’ve found to be critical is good sponsorship.  Each installation and unit tends to handle the program differently, but like so many things, you get out of it what you put into it.  Having a great unit sponsor can make a huge difference in planning for PCS- and the ability to pay it forward for others is a great way to build the team.

I would also add that getting a head start on research will put you ahead.  Learning the unit history, reviewing the professional bios of your chain of command, and reviewing the web pages/social media sites of your command or headquarters is an implied task- all usually available within a few keystrokes!
