    Read books to get to understand more of the science of leadership, watch your leaders to assess their performance, and pay close attention to your own performance as a leader and how others respond to your style.  Don’t be afraid to seek feedback from others on how you’re doing, when appropriate.

    Once you get the science of leadership down – the methods, habits, techniques, etc – the art of it is about knowing when and how to apply them, as well as how to filter the science through your own personality.  Always keep developing your leadership attributes, but recognize the strengths and weaknesses that your personality provides to your leadership methodology and adapt accordingly.
