I get to see orders specify essential tasks for recce not to get decisively engaged. how do you bridge that gap between recce, and other enablers that assist the infantry set the conditions for combined arms maneuver? I like the hunter-killer concept post screen phase, and how it can canalize enemy into engagement areas.

your guys’ thoughts are so timely because maybe a lot of leaders were shaped by decade-plus of offensive operations but combined arms breach, passage of lines (forward and rear), defense, counter-attack and a near peer armored fight is pretty fascinating to watch – like we’re getting back to our core competencies.
