@patrick-d-moore1 , absolutely great points! I was talking to my BN S4 NCOIC today about a FLIPL that’s going down right now, and she had some advice I think fits here: Counseling!

Commanders who counsel their Supply SGTs, who give them direction and limits; who tell the supply SGTs that everything will be hand receipted, states what they are responsible for and what they need to do, what needs to be signed for, and what needs to be signed out and when, protects the commander when (as a unit in my BN is finding out) the supply SGT steps on it and loses some expensive government property.  A couple of commander’s I’ve spoken too have all repeated each other, “Supply, supply, supply – supply will be the end of you.”
