Hi everyone,
My name is Eli and I am Australian Officer currently working at our officer training establishment, the Royal Military College – Duntroon. We are in the middle of giving one of our packages a good shake up, that being the Leadership, Character and Ethics package. As part of this, one of my tasks is to gather some inspiring material to help grow our junior leaders and expand their knowledge. I am asking for your help in offering some examples that you have found helpful during your careers.
I am after some good and bad, historical and current examples of leadership, character and ethical decision making. I am placing no restriction on my search to enable us to address all learning types, and would appreciate recommendations in the way of videos, speeches, blogs, podcasts, scientific documents, or anything your imagination can think of. Essentially, I am looking for resources that will help our cadets contextualise many of the concepts discussed in theoretical lessons. I would prefer to keep the examples ‘nation and service’ neutral as much as possible as I believe, certainly in the Western/five eyes context, that leadership is leadership.
I thank you all in advance for your help.Regards
Eli
