Congrats man. It’s going to be a good ride. Three things and I’ll be short because simple is what you need.

– Let your 1SG run the company. You set the vision and direction and he runs the operation.

– Counsel and mentor your junior NCOs. NCOs will make or break your company.

– The company is your soldiers, not yours. They had a commander before you and will have another one after you.

Lastly, never ask them to do something you haven’t done or will not do yourself.
