It’s going to rock some people’s worlds (S1 or not) because it’s a significant cultural change for officers not being able to just walk into an S1, get a fix, and walk out with a new ORB in hand. I’m speculating that either anything done in TOPMIS will disappear off your ORB, or that nothing will change (yet), but it will be devilishly hard to do updates from now until the eventual fielding of IPPSA. So either your ORB will look crazy (in which case I hope you have a few months and a helpful S1 until your next board), or you won’t know you have a problem until you have a board. The struggle continues because neither you nor your S1 is going to really know if you’re going to have problems with an update. It’s basically a series of invisible knots tied together that are theoretically but practically impossible to undo.
