S6: What was the role of KMAG in June 1950? Was there a clear distinction of duties from American advisors to the KMAG in case of an attack from the NKPA?

KMAG, the Korean Military Advisory Group, was responsible for providing logistic support, as well as organizing and developing native security forces.

Brig. Gen Farrell assumed command as chief of KMAG in July 1950. I would argue that the distinction of duties was not clear during the pioneering phase, as many KMAG advisors had to drop their advisory roles and took command of the operations on ground during the retreat toward Pusan.
