Able: What is your response to the steadfastness of MacArthur’s insistence on the Inchon landing? How does it change, had the mission gone otherwise?

MacArthur’s steadfast insistence on the Inchon Landing demonstrated his knowledge of how to most effectively bring about the swiftest end to the conflict.  His refusal to change the landing locations, accepting the risk of landing at Inchon instead of a safer beach further to the south, proves that he had the foresight other commanders and individuals in Washington lacked for what would bring about the swiftest end in favor of the United States.  General MacArthur also possessed the ability to sift through the reports and identify the nerve center of the NKPA forces.  Even if the Inchon landing had gone differently, with the resources flowing into South Korea it would have just prolonged the eventual outcome and forced MacArthur to come up with a different approach to the problem at hand.
