S3: What role did initiative play for UN Forces in the Pusan Perimeter and their subsequent breakout?

The Operation Flash Out was the most significant contribution in gaining the initiative that the Pusan Perimeter needed to gain a stronger foothold and allow an offensive attack against the North Korean forces. Operation Flash out provided the supplies and man power that was needed to sustain the perimeter against the North Koreans. With the ground forces reinforced the air force was able to gain air superiority and target the long stretched supply lines of the North Korean forces. As the supply lines where attacked  the North Korea forces where quickly unable to maintain their fight. Battle of Naktong Bulge set conditions to allow the final piece to breakout against the North Koreas as the US Marine Corps, 1st Provisional Marine Brigade was added to the fighting force it was 2 weeks of heavy fighting that forced North Koreans out of the region.
