BLUF It is a great way to not use your leave and get adjusted to the Army and post-college life.  When you get to your new post (I’m assuming this is your BOLC location), try and get into an earlier BOLC class or another course of any variety.  Especially BOLC locations (which are usually the Centers of Excellence locations) there are tons of smaller courses offered on post. I went to the 2 week Javelin Gunner course while snow birding at Benning and while it’s designed for privates, a few of us 2LT’s learned a ton about the weapon system and were better platoon leaders for it.  Other peers got into bigger/better courses or were able to start BOLC sooner and PCS to their unit sooner.  Worse case you go to accountability formations, do some PT, and have time to take care of your new post-college life before getting busy with BOLC.
