Hello, Staff leaders! My name is Mandi and I’m the new lead for the Staff Community.   I’m incredibly excited and honored to step into this role.

As an AG officer, I have spent most of my career on staff at various unit levels, and for most of that time, this space here that you’re reading this on, this staff community, didn’t exist!  That deeply frustrated and highly motivated me to reach out for help on my problems and to share solutions I stumbled upon.  Surely there were others like me who wanted a space to share, grow, and learn in. Now that this community is here, I am ecstatic to fill it with experiences, stories, and TTPs so we can all get better.

I honestly and deeply believe that serving your unit (and the Army) on staff versus as a PL or CC doesn’t make you any less of a leader.  Staff is not a time to take a knee or an “in-between job”; the work just manifests itself in different ways that they might in other jobs.   Your work can be rewarding, empowering, and the force pumping the very life-blood of an organization, but it can also be tedious, hard, and down right boring.   Here in this space, we’re bringing it and bringing it all, and we’ll use it together to better ourselves and others.
