@adam.szczypka – all great points. I agree with @ae_rollinson that I think the point (I think) you are trying to make is that our officer/enlisted system is successful and contributes to winning wars,  I feel like some of the Soldiers might take the “Officers win wars” point the wrong way, as if diminishing the enlisted and warrant contribution.

This is obviously a worthy discussion. If we can’t explain, and Soldiers don’t understand, why our way of recruiting, commissioning and employing our officer corps is successful and important to the Army team – then we do not understand our own purpose.

Perhaps – something more along the lines of our Commissioning system is successful because:

1) It Brings in people with unique perspectives of the organizations who have not done it the same way in the past

2) It enables risk takers, because of youth and new experiences….

3) etc; etc;.
