I just saw your original post included ‘listening to news’. Recommend NYT “The Daily” for 20-30 min deep dives on a single topic, and then a 1 min recap on ‘here’s what else you need to know today’ (updated NLT 0600 EST); NPR “Up First” for 10-15 recap of ‘what to expect today’ (updated NLT 0600 EST); Sam Sanders’ “It’s Been a Minute” (Friday is weekly recap + Best Thing at the end of pod); and NPR Politics pod (whenever “something big” happens, x1-4 weekly, 20-50 mins long).

– @jrolli recommends listening to C-SPAN radio. “C-SPAN is really good, actually 🙂 ”
– FiveThirtyEight (mathematically-focused view, left-of-center bias on commentary; closer to BBC than NPR)
– Hidden Brain (NPR). Turns out, people are complicated. Doesn’t THAT make out jobs hard sometimes?
