This week on the Leaders Huddle Podcast we are joined by Captain Jake Miraldi, the host of West Point’s Modern War Institute (MWI) podcast. As West Point’s strategic warfare “think tank”, MWI’s goal is to research, educate, and integrate recent and on-going conflict in order to prepare future leaders for the complexity of future war. MWI’s mediums to reach warfare scholars include: The War Council Blog, the MWI speaker series, and the MWI podcast. As the host for MWI’s podcast series, CPT Miraldi shares with us his own insights on the importance of studying military history, the future of warfare, and how preparing for a zombie apocalypse can prepare you for future war. Additionally, we’ll ask Jake to take us through his top reading list and how junior leaders can leverage the Modern War Institute’s products for leader development at the company and platoon level.
