How does the Army really view leaders who ask for help? We tell our Soldiers getting help is a sign of strength but among the many competitors for a leader’s time, where would there be time to get professional help? What if that “help” required prolonged treatment? What really is the impact on an officer’s career? Can an officer lead with PTSD?

Not too heavy at all, in fact, the trust you earn by “being there” for one of your troops is absolutely the thing that needs to be talked about. It’s scary.
