I would add this; fine, you’ve gotten your branch and you didn’t want to be a (insert branch here). Well, do your best. Be the best (insert branch here); get great OERs; make a difference to those Soldiers who may not have had good leadership until that point…

And then re-branch.

I don’t know how hard it is in the AC, but in the Reserve Compo it’s pretty strait forward for most branches. You can either attend the shorter Reserve Compo re-branch qualification, or you wait until your Captains Career Course and go another route.
