I couple weeks ago I branched Finance with a armor branch detail at OCS, I am trying to decide whether or not to actually switch to Finance for CCC or if I would want to stay as an Armor officer for the duration of my career.
Thanks
-
This decision will be made a little easier once you’ve become an Armor officer and you get a sense of what the branch entails and if you want to continue in that branch. Which of those two branches matches up with your professional and personal passions? I’d follow my passion. I would say that it also depends on your career goals. Do you plan to retire from the Army or do you plan to do your 5-6 years and then pursue a civilian career? Does that civilian career include skills that you’ll glean from the Armor branch or the Finance branch (or both)? There are a number of variables in the decision but you’ll find that once you hit the ground as a lieutenant, the path with hopefully become a little clearer for you.
