So this month’s post was going to focus on developing Lieutenants. I inspected my PL’s leaders books and counseling packets and was disappointed. I had them reengage on both of those and gave them a template that I used as a PL (see attached).

Instead I was informed that I was going to move to a different BN and become a HHC Commander so I immediately need to start RIP/TOA with my replacement so I can get over to HHC.

It was a gut punch because I was just getting comfortable with my Troop. Once, I got passed myself and realized HHC is a great opportunity I started focusing on the way ahead. I realized I have a chance to start again and properly implement the CSDP and Maintenance programs from my first post.

I am going to document this process and will have a subsequent post about lessons learned while prepping to take over an HHC.
