Can having good mentors who are outside of the those chains of command help off set those developmental challenges?

@cptchristopherprice, Great topic and absolutely relevant. Morale is one of those combat multipliers that leaders, especially in the Guard and Reserves, overlook because they are so slammed with the avalanche of tasks and suspense items that inevitably make up every drill. I don’t think I have much to add that doesn’t just echo what @cptchristopherprice has already said, but I’ll try. I’m an extrovert through and through, but that doesn’t mean I care anymore or am any better of a leader than my introverted peers.  Some of my best friends are introverts!
