This is a great article and a useful list. I would recommend taking pictures of items and their components to add to your platoon property book to help when the nomenclature and name don’t resemble what the item actually is. I am a firm believer in Drink and Think. I have always taken my peers and subordinates out to casual meeting locations, such as bars or breweries to conduct discussions, informal counselings and mentorship.
