I’ve attached a counseling excel my Commander used, I thought it was super effective. Basically its the OER support form with a rating next to it. He had me rate myself and then compare it to his rating and his notes.

It was a great visual way to counsel, hope others will find it as helpful as I did.

I agree with both of you! Be your own leader. Find what works and use it. Yes, as a leader you need a certain amount of “separation,” but that doesn’t mean be averse to your Soldiers.
