What do you think we are “wishing away”? What are capability or piece of equipment are we putting too much reliance on?

They were only thinking of essentially and two dimensional fight that involves only the NPKA and the UN Forces. They did not really consider a retaliatory attack from China being that we were on their back door step. China was never seen as a world power so they excluded China from any wargaming. In modern day, I think we are wishing away the cyber, electronic warfare and chemical threats. We haven’t established ourselves as well as some other countries have in those areas.

We have put a great deal of reliance on technology in today’s battlefield which in turn expands it to more dimensions to consider especially in the deep fight. If we were to be hit with an EMP device, how capable would our forces be to continue the fight? How would we continue to communicate long distance? As we move electronic and digital means, we must also need to know how to continue in manual and analog means.
