Thank you all for your responses. I did read through all of them. I did have my company meeting last night and I believe it went well. while I did not really do a command philosophy; I did let them know some of my expectations and then went into some talking points that I have been keeping a journal of. I believe I am guiding this company in the right direction by some of the feedback that I have been getting from some of the soldiers. in my first 30 days I have really come to realize that taking care of my troops is of the utmost important part of my journey of being a company commander, all while making sure I provide the battalion with anything they need or request and it does make a difference. Also being proactive and making sure there is always two way communication is an important factor in everything we leaders do. Thanks for all your responses. I have 1 main unit and 3 DET’s and I will be meeting with all the soldiers soon so they can see who I am and they can ask me questions if need be.
