Good Morning all,
As I have been working in the S3 shop at my battalion it has brought me back to some resources that I haven’t thought of in a while. Some of these were only briefed in a 15 minute block of instruction at BOLC.
What are the key resources that y’all use to get your official information (doctrine)?
MET /Task/DTMS/OBJ-T information: https://atn.army.mil/
MTOE/TMs – FMS Web – https://fmsweb.fms.army.mil
Publications – APD – http://www.apd.army.mil/default.aspxWhat distros do you find helpful?
S1Net – <span style=”font-family: Calibri;”><span style=”color: #000000;”>JOIN INSTRUCTIONS:<span style=”mso-spacerun: yes;”> </span></span><span style=”color: #000000;”>If you would like to join S1NET click on the S1NET Home Page link https://www.milsuite.mil/s1net and sign in to milSuite with your CAC (signing in establishes your milSuite account if you didn’t have one). When you reach the S1NET Home Page look for the “Join S1NET” widget on the left and click it. Approval is automatic. All S1NET members receive these messages. </span></span>
JO Forum – we all know this one!
Military Times Early Bird Brief – <span style=”color: #000000; font-family: Calibri;”>http://www.militarytimes.com/early-bird-brief – </span><span style=”color: #000000; font-family: Times New Roman;”>This</span> is not a doctrine, but a mentor suggested it to me and said “<span style=”font-family: ‘Calibri’,sans-serif; font-size: 11pt; mso-ascii-theme-font: minor-latin; mso-fareast-font-family: Calibri; mso-fareast-theme-font: minor-latin; mso-hansi-theme-font: minor-latin; mso-bidi-font-family: ‘Times New Roman’; mso-bidi-theme-font: minor-bidi; mso-ansi-language: EN-US; mso-fareast-language: EN-US; mso-bidi-language: AR-SA;”><span style=”color: #000000;”>Believe me when I say, the more you monitor and understand what is happening globally, the better you are as an asset to the US Army.” </span></span>Maybe we can grow a list that can/will turn in to a “tool” to serve as an easy reference for leaders.
I know some of these resources are very introductory or basic. I am not trying to insult anyone’s intelligence by listing them but we are all at different points in our career progressions.
There are some tools here that I have seen referenced but figured a consolidated list and discussion can help.
