    Brock and Cale,

Where can leveraging adjacent active duty units help NG? Meaning, can your AGR folks tie-in and use facilities, resources and fall-in to train with AD units? We did some of that in Europe, and it received lots of praise, attention, backing from the big wigs on both sides, they were loving the total army concept. NG/USAR was one of the 5 Pillars of Strong Europe by LTG Hodges.

Is there a way to fall in on a planned and resourced field problem for your smaller MUTAs? I don’t know what challenges and restrictions you’re up against on your side, but if I commanded a company stateside I’d invite any near NG to my PLT STX and CO FTX even if they fulfill a role: example- an NG Engineer PLT, or other NG enablers, maintenance, trans, cooks, signal etc. All they had to do is show up, and get some free training. I would show my betters an ability to bring others in and leverage their maturity and unique skills. That way, while your soldiers are away, someone is planning and setting up exercise that’s ready on arrival.
