For organizations looking to professionally develop leaders in their organization, the CJO team works directly with you to create a tailored training package for your organization or to deliver a pre-packaged program. We believe that leaders learn best through engaging exercises and candid conversations about the Army Profession. All options are built around that core principle using proven facilitation and reflection techniques. Week-long Leader Development Course

This leader development program is a 40-hour, 5-day comprehensive course. We combine the latest research with time-tested methods of leadership. Rather than a series of individual topics, the curriculum builds on and integrates throughout the week. This course utilizes engaging exercises, candid discussions, videos, and proven facilitation methods to deliver a world-class experience. The course incorporates a series of capstone exercises, pushing participants to apply their knowledge to leadership problems.

Our wide range of topics and exercises focuses on the human side of leadership, empowering leaders and teams to reach their maximum potential. We work with you to determine which topics and exercises would be best to accomplish your intent given your situation. Often units have a specific intent or focus which we build the program around. These programs can last a few hours to multiple weeks based on your guidance.

Additional Information

CJO will provide the expertise necessary to conduct all of the above events. To create the best possible experience, the unit should provide:

  • Spaces conducive for the events. Most options work best in large, open rooms with small tables each seating 4-5 people. Our team can provide specific guidance for your location. The space(s) should have A/V to support sound and video run from a laptop computer.

  • Supplies such as butcher paper, markers, and handouts. The total cost of these supplies typically does not exceed $50.

  • Travel costs. We can cross-org the funds through DTS so that your organization retains final review and oversight over travel costs.

 

Timeline: We like to coordinate events at least 60-90 days out.  However, we may be able to accommodate requests less than 60 days out if we are not otherwise committed.  Organizations are encouraged to reach out as early as possible.
