I am a true believer that in order to give constructive criticism/feedback/opinion, you must first be able to receive the same.

It is also getting to know the person you will be talking to that can make a difference. Not two people receive a particular message the same and therefore you must know who your audience is, most importantly we must stop and think before you speak. Many times I’ve let my emotions take over me but quickly catch my self before approaching anyone because at the end of the day we are all professionals and should behave as such.

In addition, we must understand that individual and put ourselves in their shoes; it seems as though there are times where others might snap “for no reason” and although you want to correct them right there and then, it is best to approach them at a later time and find out if there was anything going on that cause them to snap.

Communication is key but the way to communicate is even more important.
