The computer approach…

I hear “this millennials don’t know how hard it was…” comment all the time around the office.

As leaders we forget that “this millennials” grew up in a technological savvy world and, regardless of what component we are, their expertise comes handy if you need something done. It seems to me as if they are also more creative than some of us “old folks” (ok ok..I’m an 80’s baby so not old as people might think), my point with this is…are we utilizing their knowledge or creativity to improve our organization/section/platoon or even company?

Many of “the millennials” come and go and yet we say “I know my team, my soldiers, my platoon” but do we actually?

Funny story…as I write this, I find out that one of our BDE JAG soldiers is a certified massage therapist who joined the army because he was discriminated against in the civilian sector because he’s a male in the massage therapist world!!!! #blewmymind
