I really like the putting 1SG’s sig. block on the Leadership Philosophy. It demonstrates unity, especially if you continually reference it throughout command (as you should). I also think you bring up great questions for reflection that provide a great framework for the first discussion with the 1SG. Sometimes the CDR and 1SG aspire for certain company goals that may/may not overlap. Similar to @chris_s, some of the questions I periodically asked my 1SGs (usually quarterly) were:

These questions helped us build an adaptive mindset that facilitated a candid conversation.
