FMTV Ring Mount Best Practice

A best practice for FMTV Ring Mount Kits and associated Crew Serve Weapon mounts.  FSCs are not resourced gun trucks and must use MTOE equipment (FMTVs, PLS, etc.).  FSCs must be able to secure themselves during resupply operations and not tie up critical combat power from their respective maneuver BNs.  FSCs must conduct mounted platform gunnery and typically most FSC vehicle platforms are not configured with the M66/M1114 mount, cantilever arm or gunner’s restraint. FSC vehicles must be outfitted correctly to ensure they can meet the crew, section and PLT level gunnery requirements.
