I went to Ft. Benning.  Just make sure you arrange lodging far in advance if you are National Guard.  Many of my peers had to stay off-post, which isn’t a huge challenge, but it’s nice living on-post nearby to everything.  Housing is housing – you won’t care so long as it’s dry and warm/cool if you’re going to be Infantry.

Infantry – I agree with Brock.  Don’t get too wrapped up in the “extracurricular activities,” but don’t avoid them either.  We have an enormous Army, but a very small, tight community of Officers.  You are going to serve alongside these Officers throughout your career and BOLC is the perfect time to begin building relationships.  I also agree tha…[Read more]

I have two branches – Infantry and Military Police.  There are certainly pros and cons:
