Maybe this is not the case for many units out there but the unit I am currently a part of (active duty component) has a culture where BDE HHC Senior NCO’s, WO and Officers are not required to attend PT. chofusionism Thank you for the question, I believe this is such an important question specially for new PL as well as new BN staff (BN S1 can be OIC and will have an NCOIC that will need to be counseled).

I am currently assigned to an MI unit that often receives “WIAS Taskers”. I recently learned that we do not have a “Pre-Deployment/Pre-Tasker” SOP that explain what the soldier most do before leaving on a tasker. An SOP that integrates all Staff involved not just S1 for example.
