1-16 IN LPD Program (Updated 26 April 2017)
Note: Updated on 26 April 2017 with latest version.
1-16 IN, currently deployed on a 9 month rotation to Korea, shared their Leader Professional Development (LPD) program with us. One really cool aspect of this program is that it’s driven by a grass-roots group of soldiers within the Battalion called the Leader Development Council (LDC). @jnic2107, former Leader Challenge team member, explains:
“Our LDC meets once a month and the council consists of personnel who volunteer from the BN Staff and company representatives. The council meets once a month for an hour and a half and that is how we maintain our 30/60/90 approach. Once a month we brief as part of the Plans Update (weekly meeting to the BN CDR where different planning efforts are briefed to the BN CDR) once approved we move on to assign units and personnel to run events 30-60 days out.”
Many thanks to the Iron Rangers! If you have similar LPD resources to share, post them and use the tag LPD to make it easy to find.
