3rd-Gen Leadership Training

One of the main ideas behind these forums is preparing and setting the stage for future generations of leaders to be equipped and ready to take the reigns when we are long gone. I was first introduced to the idea of 3rd Generation Leadership when I attended my first CALDOL Rendezvous in 2014, and was inspired, so much so that I put the attached class together on the subject.

I conducted this training with my PLT when I was a PL, sending out the two attached ARMY Magazine articles on Third Generation Leadership, and then using this PP to assist with the group discussion.  I’m aware that I will never be able to achieve the level of awesome that Katie did during that ’14 Rendezvous, but I started hitting things like this with my PSG and SLs prior to our GTMO mobilization, and I honestly think it did some good.

If you would like to do the same, I would recommend you send out the two articles (3rd Generation Leadership and 3rd Generation Leadership REDUX) as pre-reading, and then use the PP to assist with a group discussion.
